Explore the life of a Texas patriot in the heart of downtown San Antonio. A rancher, merchant, and one of only two native-born Texans to sign the Texas Declaration of Independence, José Antonio Navarro was a leading advocate for Tejano rights.
May 21: Tejas Tastebuds
Join us as we explore San Antonio's culinary heritage by highlighting traditional dishes dating back to the 1870s. This event will feature a live demonstration and Aguas Frescas tasting. Advanced registration required.

Living History Events at the National Museum of the Pacific War
The Museum’s Pacific Valor, battle demonstrations each tell the story of a specific World War II Medal of Honor recipient. This program will transport guests back to the black sands of Iwo Jima, where Sergeant Darrel Cole gave his life through an act of unfathomable heroism on the battlefield. The battle demonstration will include simulated explosives, blank firing guns, and a real M2-2 flamethrower for an immersive experience brought to you by the living history volunteers of Company K.
