Stanton’s Shopping Center has stuck true to its roots – instead of switching to endless self-checkout lanes and bright yellow BOGO coupons, the store prioritizes friendly cashiers and handwritten price signs. With an assortment of spices, pastas, canned goods, and other groceries, the aisles carry everything you might need for a home-cooked meal plus all the fixings for a true Texas barbecue. The owners, Allen, Neal, and Paul Stanton, pride themselves on making and smoking homemade meats day in and day out whilst keeping their family legacy alive in a community that has relied on them generationally, even through hurricane crises.
