In May 1997, the Texas Legislature proudly declared Clifton the "Norwegian Capital of Texas," honoring its history as the largest Norwegian settlement in the state during the mid-1800s. Today, Norwegian traditions are alive and well in Clifton, drawing ancestral travelers from around the world every year. But Clifton has a long history with many fascinating stories to tell, some of which are being told for the very first time...

The national exhibit can be viewed at the Bosque Museum.

Fee and Hours
The exhibit will be on display seven days a week from October 12 to December 1, 2024.
Hours:
Thursday - Saturday 10 am - 5pm
Sunday 12 pm - 5 pm
The museum will also be open for special hours on Monday, Oct. 14 from 10 am - 5 pm.

Parking Information
Free parking is available in several locations immediately surrounding the museum.
Angle-in parking (including accessible spots) is available along the front of the museum on Avenue Q. Additional parking is available in the large parking lot located immediately south of the museum. The entrance to this lot is located off of Avenue Q. Finally, even more parking is available along the front of the Museum Annex, directly across Avenue Q from the museum.
