Website

Guentzel Cemetery was designated a Historic Texas Cemetery in 2024. It is named for the family of Elias Valentine Guentzel, born in Germany in 1838. He emigrated to Texas as part of the wave of German and Swiss immigrants who established farms in this area, forming tight-knit rural communities centered around family homesteads, churches, and small schools. Elias and his wife, Johanna, and several of their children, are buried here. This cemetery remains a quiet reminder of the pioneer German settlers in eastern Williamson County. Restored by the Williamson County Historical Commission Cemetery Restoration Volunteers . THC Atlas Number 7491010305
