Kayak At Sunset: Paddle Through the Historic Site of Copano Bay, Rockport, Texas
June 19, 2026
Join for Pathways in Motion: Kayak at Sunset — a coastal paddle experience through the historic waters of Copano Bay in Rockport, Texas.
This community-centered event invites experienced paddlers and visitors to experience the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and waterfront stories that helped shape Aransas County and the Texas Gulf Coast. Once an important corridor for trade, fishing, transportation, and settlement, Copano Bay continues to connect communities through recreation, conservation, and tourism.
Participants will paddle approximately three miles along scenic shoreline waters near the Copano Bay Bridge before concluding at Murph Park during sunset. The event is designed to highlight the connection between nature, heritage, wellness, and outdoor recreation while supporting the mission of Aransas Pathways through its core pillars:
Birding. History. Kayaking. Trails.
Guests and non-paddlers are also welcome to attend the waterfront gathering area featuring community partners, exhibitors, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
