Independence Day at Fort Concho

Looking for a fun and educational way to Celebrate 250 years of America?! 🇺🇸
Stop by the fort this Independence Day weekend and check out all we have to offer!
Artillery Salutes**, Western Art in a cool building (Bob's words), and our newest mini-exhibit!
Fort Concho will be open for self-guided tours on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM., and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
On Saturday, July 4**, our Living History Department will present hourly artillery salutes from 10:00 AM. to 3:00 PM.
While you're here, make sure to visit the APA Western Art Show in the historic Quartermaster Building. The show will be open Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. And remember...all artwork is available for purchase! Check out the American Plains Artists for more information.
And in addition to celebrating Independence Day, we will have an opening of the newest mini-exhibit in our Headquarters building, "The Concho Mail Station: Stagecoaching in West Texas, 1868β1882," presented by the West Texas Archeological Society and Fort Concho.
And as a proud Blue Star Museum participate, we are offering free admission to all active-duty military personnel and their families all weekend long! (Well actually, until Labor Day)
However, we're also extending complimentary admission to our veterans as well.
Regular admission applies for all other visitors.
