Homeschool Day

The Bush Family Home State Historic Site will hold their first Homeschool Day on October 15 from 10 am – 2 pm. This will prove to be a fun time for Homeschool and other educational groups of the Permian Basin. Participants will be able to take a tour of the home of 2 presidents, 2 governors and a first lady. They will also be introduced to the game of croquet and have a STEM lesson. Lastly, other organizations will be on site as well to inform groups of other opportunities in the area.
“This will be a great time to see the site and learn more about the Bushes and other things to do in West Texas,” said Site Manager Troy Gray.
The Bush Family Home State Historic Site is located at 1412 West Ohio St. in Midland. The hours for the home are: Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; the last tour begins at 4:15 p.m. The Bush Family Home joined the Texas Historical Commission in 2023 and is one of 42 sites in the state of Texas.
