Please join us for our next History at Night program on a special date and time (Wednesday, October 30th at 5:15pm) as we explore the town cemetery founded 200 years ago!

While the first recorded burial and oldest tombstone does not date until 1846, Stephen Austin included the town cemetery on his original town map all the way back in 1824. Please join us as we discuss some of the notable stories of those who lie forever just down the road from our museum.

Please meet at the San Felipe de Austin Cemetery north gate for a tour that begins promptly at 5:15pm. This tour will include long periods of standing and walking. Flashlights are encouraged as we approach twilight to help identify trip hazards along the path.

This program is free of charge and most appropriate for audiences aged 16 and up.
