Just in time for Halloween, stop by for a walk inside the historic old jail and watch out for things that go bump in the night!
Every year, the Brown County Museum of History lets the evil spirits loose in the four-story Brown County Jail, built in 1903 and located across the street from the main museum building.
To help ensure the preservation of the museum’s artifacts, no bags will be allowed inside the jail (this includes purses, diaper bags, backpacks, etc.). No strollers, baby carriers, costume props, costumes that are expansive or bulky (i.e. blow up dinosaurs). No animals will be permitted inside the jail.
