Brazos Trail Region
While in Madisonville, relax with a first-class meal and a good night’s sleep at The Woodbine Hotel and Restaurant. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the structure was built in 1904 by Russian-born Jake Shapira and his wife Sarah. The Shapiras built the Victorian hotel using two Sears kit houses they purchased at the St. Louis World’s Fair and yellow longleaf pine from East Texas.
