River Legacy Living Science Center and River Legacy Parks
The nature center and adjoining parks offer hike/bike trails, educational exhibits and picnic areas. The Living Science Center offers a wide range of interactive environmental education exhibits, living aquaria and terria. Guided nature walks, animal presentations, and special outdoor education programs are scheduled year round. The adjacent River Legacy Parks boasts 1,300 acres along the Trinity River with more than eight miles of paved trails winding through thick forest and expansive greenbelts. DORBA(Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association) also maintains an off-road mountain bike trail at the park. The park is a haven for bird watching and amenities include a meditation area, river overlooks, multipurpose area, water fountains, restrooms and a playground.
