The Northeast Tarrant County Civil War Memorial sits on the grounds of the Bedford Church of Christ. The memorial honors by name veterans of both armies during the Civil War who lived, owned land, died or are buried in Northeast Tarrant County. At least 19 of the veterans listed on the memorial are buried at the adjacent Old Bedford Cemetery. The memorial is made up of 8 pieces of Georgia gray granite and weighs more than 4 tons. It is the culmination of over 40 years of interest and research by the men who erected it.
