The Longhorn Museum was established to preserve the history of Atascosa County. Learn about the history of ranching, home-life, farming and industry from the arrival of the longhorn cattle and mustangs, to the opening of the uranium mines, oil fields and coal strip mines. Pleasanton's former SAU&G railroad depot is located on the museum grounds and houses artifacts fron the early days of railroading.
