Jefferson Theatre
The opulent Jefferson Theatre’s Mediterranean-influenced interior features a white marble staircase and an organ that rises from the orchestra pit on a hydraulic lift. Opened in 1927, this grand theatre hosted traveling shows, vaudevillians, drama, and motion pictures until it closed its doors in 1972. Restoration began in 1995 and the Jefferson re-opened in 2003. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.
Today, the Jefferson Theatre home to a state-of-the-art 4K laser projection system and Dolby surround sound. Both new films and a Classic Movie Night series are currently screened at the theater.
