Jake & Dorothy's Cafe operates out of the same building as it did when it opened in 1948. Established by Jake and Dorothy Roach, their daughter, Kerry Roach, continues their legacy nearly 80 years later.
Known for their crispy waffle fries, chicken fried steak on a bed of cream gravy, and homemade pies, Jake & Dorothy's Cafe has served as a beloved spot for the local high school football teams to satiate their hunger and keep peace with their rivals long enough for everyone to finish dinner.
Jake & Dorothy's Cafe was designated a Texas Treasure Business in 2023.
