Hamilton Jewelers is a 4th generation, family-owned business started in Franklin County in 1885. The business was moved to Mount Pleasant in the early 1900s. The store was originally focused on watch repair and has since expanded to include brand jewelry lines, gift items and jewelry repair.

Hamilton Jewelers has been described as "A Diamond in downtown Mount Pleasant" by the Mount Pleasant Tribune and prides itself on always searching for the best quality and product selections for its customers.

One of the business' most memorable stories was when an employee came in late from lunch one day. When asked why she was late, she explained that she had picked up an older man who had fallen on the side of the road and hurt his knee. She had taken him to the emergency room. When staff was unconvinced, she said, "He gave me his autograph!" It was signed by none other than Kris Kristofferson. To their surprise, he happened to be in town.
