Built with the same native Texas red granite that built the State Capitol Building, Bertram’s Art Deco Globe Theatre opened to a packed house in 1935 and entertained local moviegoers for nearly five decades. After sitting dormant for years, the theater underwent an extensive six-year restoration and reopened in 2015, preserving much of its vintage character. Today, the Globe once again lights up downtown Bertram with live music, classic movies, and special events.
