Learn why Amarillo is the “Helium Capital of the World” at the Don Harrington Discovery Center, a hands-on children’s science center with more than 100 exhibits on natural history and core sciences. Outside the center is the helium monument, four helium-filled steel columns fitted with time capsules. The Space Theater is a digital planetarium that offers out of this world trips to our nearest neighbors in the solar system to the depths of deep space.
