Learn about the County's rich history from pre-historic days to the days of gun-slingers to the days of railways and boom towns! The Comanche County Historical Museum chronicles this history from frontier times to the mid-1900s. Exhibits include a blacksmith shop, filling station and doctor’s office. A replica saloon interprets the original Comanche saloon where gunslinger John Wesley Hardin killed a deputy in 1874. The unique layout of this County Museum also features the various communities that comprise Comanche County.
