Andrew Carnegie, entrepreneur and philanthropist, built numerous libraries throughout the nation and several in Texas. Only three remain in service as libraries. Built in 1907, the library served all of Marion County. A second floor ballroom is available for rental of receptions and meetings. Second floor inaccessible to those with disabilities, elevator installation pending. One of Texas' most outstanding doll collection is on display.
