In 1997 the Palace Theatre was restored to its original Art Deco distinction and now houses a digital projection system that is one of only 300 in the world. The Palace is also the only theatre in the Texas Panhandle equipped with the state-of-the-art THX sound system. While the building is more than a century old and has always operated as a vaudeville and movie theatre, today it features new releases nightly with a matinee on Sundays, as well as occasional special events.
