Now in its sixth decade of operation, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers a diverse array of exhibitions, publications, and programs that connect visitors to masterworks of American art. The museum originally showed 400 works from local philanthropist Amon G. Carter’s Western art collection. It broadened its focus and now houses a wide range of 19th- and 20th-century American art and photographs.
