On view at the Museum of the Big Bend in Alpine, TX, this exhibit dives into innovation and invention happening in rural America. In small towns across the country, people are creating new products, taking risks, meeting challenges together, and seizing exciting opportunities that shape local life—and sometimes reach far beyond.
SPARK! Places of Innovation features stories from rural communities statewide, revealing the dynamic relationship between place and creativity. Whether technical, social, cultural, artistic—or a blend of all—each innovation is as unique as the community it comes from.
In addition to the main exhibit in Alpine, related programming and events will take place throughout the Texas Mountain Trail Region, inviting communities across Far West Texas to take part in the conversation and celebration of innovation.
