Have you ever explored the intersection of culture and medicine? We’re excited to have Ginger Francis, one of the earliest and most ardent supporters of TTUHSC El Paso, leading us on a tour of the remarkable art on campus. This tour will reveal how each piece of art is intricately connected to the borderland ethos, unfolding a rich narrative as you explore the campus.
• Wander through the Helix Garden, where sandblasted local plant forms create a captivating dialogue with nature.
• Experience the delicate balance of healing and high-tech science with Between Earth and Sky.
• Be amazed by the mastery of Tom Lea’s Study for the First Recorded Surgical Operation in North America, Cabeza de Vaca Taking an Arrow from an Indian's Chest in 1535.
Itinerary
- 10 AM- Meet on the first floor of the Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine, 137 Rick Francis St, El Paso, TX 79905
- Occasional standing for long periods of time.
