The Heritage Syrup Festival, celebrated annually on the second Saturday of November in Henderson, Texas, offers a unique glimpse into the traditional craft of ribbon cane syrup making. This folk life festival, centered around the Depot Museum, features live demonstrations of antique mule-powered equipment used in syrup production. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of folk arts, live music, and local food, spreading from the museum to Heritage Square in the historic downtown area.
