Naval enthusiasts climb aboard a World War II aircraft carrier at the USS Lexington Museum on the Bay. Known as the "Blue Ghost" and “Lady Lex,” this ship served in nearly every major operation of the Pacific Theater and is the nation’s longest serving and most historically important aircraft carrier. There's an adventure around every corner as you make your way through the maze of tunnels and ladders. Ship exhibits outline Japan’s attack at Pearl Harbor and its kamikaze campaigns. An aircraft elevator space houses a 30-foot theater screen showing action-packed historical films. Head to the flight deck for scenic views and a variety of military aircraft, and get a feel for wartime life at sea.

The USS Lexington was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2003.
