There is definitely an “old world” feel to this town square which is fitting given that Laredo is one of the oldest cities in the state. Laredo is organized around several plazas, but because of its proximity to the border, San Agustin Plaza is a popular gathering place for people crossing Laredo International Bridge, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Be sure to notice the variety of different styles and scales exhibited by the buildings that face the plaza.
