Landmark Historic Post Office
The building is known as the Landmark Historic Post Office - a two-story structure that currently serves as host to several small businesses including Postmasters Coffee Company, Venue 1932, and the Landmark Aesthetics Clinic and Med Spa.
The land that holds the old Landmark Historic Post Office, was originally owned by Mrs. R.J. Harper and Mr. W.D. Harper who sold their property to the U.S. Government. Congress spent $135,000 for the project and by September 10, 1932, the building began construction. The building officially opened its doors on September 20, 1933. The post office was placed on the National Register of Historic Places roughly 70 years after the building's opening.
The outer facade and interior design still feature many of the original Art Deco elements that were popular during the time. The business owners are hoping to continue to bring people together and connect them to the history inside with moments for the future.
