Former seat of Reagan County, Stiles constructed the court house in 1911. The town all but died when the railroad bypassed the community and ran through Big Lake instead. Just off Hwy 137, an unpaved rough road loops around the ghostly ruins of this building, which is inaccessible to the public but can be seen from the fence enclosure.
