Old City Cemetery in Brownsville

With roots dating to 1853, this cemetery is the final resting place for many veterans, including combatants of every U.S. conflict since the War of 1812. Soldiers from both sides of the Mexican Revolution and U.S.-Mexico War are buried on these grounds, as are members of most of the founding families of Brownsville.
