Oaklea Mansion Bed and Breakfast sits on two acres of in historic Winnsboro, Texas. Built in 1903 as the home of attorney and civic leader Marcus DeWitt Carlock, this Neo-Classical/Late Victorian landmark welcomes you with its soaring 12-foot ceilings, heart-pine floors, original crystal chandeliers, and a graceful curly-pine staircase. Six guest suites—each with its own en-suite bath—are furnished with Carlock family antiques, blending period charm with modern comforts. Mornings begin with a gourmet Southern breakfast in the historic dining room, once host to Texas governors and dignitaries, and afternoons can be spent exploring the onsite Carlock House Museum or touring Winnsboro’s quaint downtown in our 1931 Model A Station Wagon.
