The museum blends South Texas and northern Mexico together under one roof, exploring centuries of interconnectivity between the two regions. The museum's premiere exhibition, "Rio Grande Legacy," guides visitors through time using state-of-the-art multimedia, combining sights and sounds to create a totally immersive experience. Two film theaters, one within the bow of a steamboat and the other inside a packing shed beyond a train station (all replicas, of course), conclude the two-part exhibition, an interpretive presentation that provides a world-class experience inside one of our best Rio Grande Valley museums.
