Lockhart State Park
Independence Trail Region
With just under 264 acres of land, Lockhart State Park is small but picturesque. Set in Central Texas amid greenery of elm, oak, ash, and pecan trees, in 1935 the park received federal funds and the construction skills of Civilian Conservation Corps to develop the park's infrastructure. Activities include picnicking, camping, fishing, hiking, nature study, and a nine-hole golf course.
