Kuhlmann-King Historical Complex

On Blanco Street, overlooking the town of Boerne, stands a two-story home whose rocks tell of both success and sadness.
Successful pharmacist William Kuhlmann built his large Blanco Street home in the late 1880s. He intended it to be a happy home for his German bride but tragedy struck; both mother and child died in childbirth. Kuhlmann sold the home, which was used later as a public school building. Today, the house is open for visitors and is featured in a walking tour of Boerne that showcases its German heritage.
