In 2026, the Institute began a new chapter with its reopening in a thoughtfully reimagined downtown San Antonio location. The updated space places Texas stories front and center through immersive displays and interactive experiences that explore themes of family, tradition, creativity, and community. Familiar elements from the Institute’s past appear alongside new exhibits, creating a sense of continuity while looking ahead.
