Built in 1878, Gruene Hall is the oldest continually running dance hall in Texas, and the Central Texas birthplace to many great songwriters and musicians. Known throughout the world as a music venue, Gruene Hall has been instrumental in starting the careers of Lyle Lovett, George Strait, Hal Ketchum and others.
