Grand Prairie Historical Museum
Lakes Trail Region
The Grand Prairie Historical Museum is a city owned museum that is operated by the Grand Prairie Historical Organization. The building that houses the museum was originally built as the Texas State Jaycee's Headquarters in 1951. After several changes in ownership and renovations throughout the years, the city restored the exterior of the building to its original state and the interior was renovated to be a museum. The main exhibit takes visitors through the history of Grand Prairie- from early settlers to now.
