About Kathleen Maca
The author of several books about Galveston History, including Galveston’s Broadway Cemeteries, Ghosts of Galveston, A History of the Hotel Galvez, The Ghostly Tales of Galveston, and History of Tremont House, she specializes in finding and sharing hidden history–those stories that are often lost to time– weaving together over forty years of genealogy research with local history and folklore.
Her tours and books have been featured on the Travel Channel, the Discovery Channel, Texas Country Reporter, the Magnolia Network, Texas Monthly Magazine, Texas Highways, Coast Magazine, Galveston Monthly Magazine, Houston Life TV, NPR Radio, and other media outlets.
