CLIFTEX Theatre opened its doors in 1927 after its owner, D.C. Caraway relocated and renamed his first silent film house, Queen Theater. Since then, it has undergone nine ownership changes, which are all currently documented and displayed in the lobby. Located a little more than 30 miles from Waco, it serves Clifton and other Bosque county residents four days a week, year-round. Today, it’s known as one of the oldest operating movie theaters in Texas.
