Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum
Cleburne’s Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum is located on the original townsite of Wardville, the first seat of Johnson County, which was established in 1854. During the cattle drives, the area was home to cowboy campsites. Town Branch Creek runs through the 10-acre site and empties into Lake Pat Cleburne, which was the Nolan River during the cattle drive days. Today, take in the Western art of Julie Asher Lee, who has a studio onsite, and visit the two working blacksmiths.
