Bank Building
Lakes Trail Region
200 W. Main St.
Waxahachie , Texas
This bank, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a perfect example of how the grand style of the county courthouse inspired the architecture of the town square. Note the details of the first floor columns, “borrowed” from the courthouse. The mass and permanence of the Romanesque style is fitting for a bank.
Continue along the perimeter of the square and notice the variety of different commercial storefronts — reflecting the different styles popular during the time of their construction.
