Ammansville, located in southeastern Fayette County, was settled by German and Czech immigrants in the 1870s. It's main feature is St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, one of the famous "Painted Churches" in Fayette County. The church is known for its rosy, pink interior and is often called "The Pink Church".
