Hiking to this stunning geological formation is a must-do for visitors, but please note it is rated moderate to challenging. The trail offers an immersive experience, winding through the canyon’s depths before culminating in breathtaking views of the Lighthouse, a natural rock tower that stands proudly against the horizon. The park also features many beginner trails with breathtaking views.
Palo Duro Canyon State Park is also home to the TEXAS Outdoor Musical, which runs Tuesdays through Sundays during summer at Pioneer Amphitheater.
