When I moved to the Fort Worth area, I yearned to reconnect with my favorite holiday. Friends and colleagues alike told me there was a place just northeast of Fort Worth I needed to visit. A town that does Halloween like no other in Texas...

In early October, I packed the vehicle and headed north.

For the entire month of October, Historic Downtown Denton becomes DENTON HALLOWEEN; filled with a month-long calendar of spooky events for the entire family!

What is so great about Downtown Denton is that every shop and restaurant participates in the Halloween season. Each of the restaurants on the square has their own unique Halloween themed menu!
940's Kitchen and Cocktails on West Oak Street is a classy little haunt with an almost speak-easy vibe, spooky cocktails, and fresh bites even a zombie would love!
Who You Gonna Call?
It isn't Denton Halloween if you don't encounter a Ghostbuster. In fact, it is highly recommended you visit Denton in costume! Wade's costume was "cool guy in his late 30s wearing a very appropriate shirt for the holiday", if you couldn't tell.
As far as PARKING is concerned, there is Two-Hour limited parking around the square with free lots just outside of it. There are also limited park to shuttle opportunities to Denton Square.

Denton Halloween is filled with family friendly installations such as the Ghastly Garden, a spooky trail in Quakertown Park that transports visitors through a haunted forest, connecting the Scary Chairy Orchard with Movies in The Park!
After you traverse the Ghastly Garden, pop on over next door to the Halloween market and support local vendors!
Local food trucks provided additional food options along the way!
