The Texas Brazos Trail Region will increase the economic base of its 18 counties through regional partnerships, heritage tourism, and preservation.

Executive Director
Pamela Anderson serves as Executive Director of the Texas Brazos Trail Region, where she champions connection and strategic partnerships that advance heritage tourism and economic development while promoting preservation initiatives. With more than 33 years of experience in tourism, community development, and heritage preservation, she is dedicated to safeguarding and sharing the rich stories of the Brazos Trail Region and of Texas through strong alliances with local organizations and historic sites. Pamela thrives on linking communities’ unique histories with visitors, creating meaningful experiences that inspire and educate. A devoted heritage traveler, she actively seeks out historic destinations and the stories that define them, leading and celebrating the Texas Brazos Trail Region as a place where proud residents and inspired travelers connect through history.

Joy is proud to lead a passionate group of individuals A native of Tennessee, Joy Summar-Smith received a B.A. in history from Carson-Newman College and then a M.A. in Museum Studies from Baylor University in 2003.
