About the Texas Brazos Trail Region

Pamela leads the Texas Brazos Trail Region with a mission to connect communities and inspire visitors, celebrating a region where residents cherish their heritage and travelers find endless inspiration. With over 30 years of experience in tourism, she collaborates with community partners across the Brazos Trail Region on initiatives that promote heritage tourism, education, and preservation.

BOARD VICE CHAIR
Dr. Marsha Hendrix has managed historic sites for the state of Texas for almost 20 years. Currently she is the Site Manager for Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites.
BOARD SECRETARY
Erin Shields has spent the last 14 years enhancing learning opportunities at museums, originally in Education Departments, and now in Administration. She shares with museum guests her passion for untold stories and the sticky questions that make history interesting.
Sharon Whitaker serves as the editorial manager for the Texas Heritage Trails, LLC. Currently, she holds the position of Chair for Round Rock Historic Preservation Commission and serves as Administrator for Preservation Georgetown. With 15 years of experience in historic preservation and education, Sharon is deeply passionate about preserving cultural heritage. Originally from Amarillo, Texas, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her work in promoting and protecting our shared history.
