Each year the Castroville Conservation Society hosts a tour of up to five historic homes that are decorated for Christmas. Most of these unique homes are Alsatian pioneer houses built in the mid to late 1800's and are listed on the 1969 Texas Historical Commission Survey and located in Castroville's 1970 National Historic District.
