Attend the annual Kolache Festival on the square in downtown Caldwell ALWAYS on the 2nd Saturday in September. Admission is free and you’ll enjoy lots of attractions and homemade kolaches. The opening ceremonies begin at 9 am under the polka pavilion (located on Fox St.). It includes the crowning of Miss Kolache Festival followed by the SPJST youth beseda dancers. They’ll still have all the fun activities you have come to love like the kolache eating contest, kolache baking championship, a 5K Kolache Krunch run, and of course POLKA music. Plus, they’ll have quality arts and crafts and food booths, an amazing quilt show, museums, street rods & classic car show, an antique machinery and tractor show, and a kids' activity zone. The attractions are endless so plan to attend the Kolache Festival on the 2nd Saturday of September in downtown Caldwell.
