Located in historic Pelham of Western Navarro County, this is the only museum in the county devoted primarily to African American Community Heritage. It is home to a permanent collection of more than 150 artifacts, including archives of the pioneer families beginning in 1866, the move to "Forks of the Creeks", now Pelham. In addition to the visual, recorded and hands-on displays, the Museum offers lectures, reading and creative programs, summer camps, intergenerational study sessions and programs that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of people from within and without the Pelham Community.
